This notice explains what happens to your information when you visit themediacfo.com, the website of the Media CFO podcast hosted by Tobias Jaeger. We keep data collection to the minimum and only use analytics with your consent.

What we collect and why

Newsletter signup	The email address you submit and your request to receive the Media CFO newsletter and updates. Resend sends the confirmation email and newsletter. You join the newsletter only after using the confirmation button. We retain your address, consent scope/version, request and confirmation times, and delivery/recovery status in a private Supabase database. Confirmation links expire after 30 minutes. Routine cleanup during signup processing removes confirmed consent records older than 365 days and unused requests older than seven days; unresolved enrollment requests are retained until reviewed to preserve unsubscribe choices. You can withdraw your request at any time by emailing us. If you also accept analytics, we record completed confirmation requests without your email address or confirmation token.	Your consent
Embedded & linked media	Episode pages embed YouTube players and link out to Apple Podcasts and Spotify. When you play or click these, those platforms may set their own cookies and process data under their own policies.	Your consent / their policies

Cookies & consent

We use an opt-in implementation of Google Consent Mode v2. Google Analytics is not loaded until you accept analytics. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization remain disabled. The banner lets you Accept analytics or Decline:

Decline — no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected.
Accept — Google Analytics is enabled to help us understand how the site is used.

Your choice is stored locally in your browser. Use the button below to turn analytics off and reopen the choice. Declining removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies and stops further analytics collection in this browser. Accepting again enables analytics for future activity.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We use these processors/services to run the site: Google (Analytics), Resend (confirmation and newsletter email), Supabase (signup processing and private consent records), Formspree (previous signup requests), Podbean (podcast hosting/RSS), and Render (website hosting). Playing embedded content involves YouTube; following listen links involves Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

Your rights

Under UK/EU data protection law you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you (essentially your newsletter email), and you can withdraw consent at any time. To do so, email hello@colibriholdings.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
